His Excellency President Félix Tshisekedi, the President of the the Democratic republic of Congo, has demonstrated leadership and commitment to facilitating trade through modern infrastructure with his support for the GED Africa Route.

The bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo will promote job creation, trade, investment and an enduring socio-economic legacy.

The Congolese Great Works Agency (ACGT), Created by decree n ° 08/017 of August 26, 2008, is a public entity within the Government of the Democratic  Republic of Congo, placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Infrastructure, with a mandate to manage projects for the construction and modernization of infrastructures across a wide variety of sectors, including roads.

ACGT’s wealth of experience and highly qualified engineers has added immense value to GED Congo’s operations. From the onset of the project and throughout feasibility studies, concession discussions, early works, and environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA), ACGT and GED have worked together to ensure the most technically accurate and socially responsible solutions are implemented to achieve sustainable, positive socio-economic impact for the region.
